Stripped Crank Thread - Not Pedal Thread 🙁

-----

VAR makes/made a tap for the 23.35mm Verot removal thread;
have one in me infirmary

possible they make/made one for the 22.0mm as well...

Pullers for 23mm (Spécialités T.A.) and 23.35mm (Stronglight) are readily available, and a useful addition to any vintage bikewrencher's toolbox.

If you can find a tap in one of those sizes, that would be my preferred solution. Not sure if a 22mm tap will do much good anymore.

Handy info thank you 😀

I'm guessing then the quality doesn't vary that much
Yes quality is hugely different...but your trying pull off a bike crank with is hardly held on 8n the first place. If you were pulling the output gear off a volvo f16 then a £10 puller would not be my first suggestion in terms of quality! 😂

Just remember to leave the bolt in, undone slightly , to give you something to pull against....else you wil be ripping the taper out too.

Purchased a damaged crank thread extractor tool tapered thread off e bay for £20 .it is very well made and it saved my Williams AB 77 chain set .
