Strange thing happened today

So I'm sitting in my chair messing about online this afternoon and I hear and feel a proper big bang. After I shat myself I get up and wonder what it was, I am on the ground floor of 3 flats, was it a window banging in the wind? Nope, too loud for that. Had the NASA satellite dropped to Earth outside my flat?

I go to the window and see a neighbour at her car in the car park looking at the front of it... surely not? I went out and sure enough the stupid bitch had managed to drive right through the parking space, up the kerb, through a bushy border and over a strip of grass to smack her car right into the side of the building.

God only knows how she managed it. Thankfully no damage to the wall and surprisingly little damage to the car, although it now needs some work.

I think there's a case for re-testing women every other year.

They certainly need to conduct tests on female drivers.

Research might reveal why they are measurably safer drivers. We may be able to apply that knowledge to help male drivers improve.

More to the point, did you go and help her?

A subtle and measured response - a veritable mailed fist in a velvet glove...

Nice one...

I was more interested in my house wall tbh.

I couldn't resist having a gander to see the damage!

Must have been quite a shock. I could never live on a corner, you always see those pics of lorries in living rooms!

My Mrs often tells me that the worst drivers on the road are members of her own fair sex! If you knew Mrs A, you'd know how eye-opening that is!I work with a number of women who won't drive on the motorway. I asked one of my team (she's 40!) to go and observe a colleague in a branch 60 miles away - she got her dad to take her! - FFS!

At the risk of sounding sexist, I think it's the same gene that makes them unable to throw properly! (Don't anyone be quoting Fatima Whitbread as an exception - everyone knows she's a (big) bloke!)

Azaro, we all have our own opinions and perspective, and of course many of these are based on individual cases.

When it comes to generalisations though, you can be sure insurance companies are more interested in the facts.

There is an enormous amount of research on this.

:)
