** Stooge Scrambler **

Re:

That's the matching front 15mm axle arrived from Germany 8)

Quick measure of the diameter of the clamp gives 25mm, so a 25 x 8 spacer with an M15 hole ordered! :D

And just in case there's any interest, the silver Odyssey Triple Trap pedals and the SDG Bel Air Titanium cow print saddle are now on eBay

Edit: Saddle sold to wicket, cheers Peter! 8)

Re:

The Mrs and I went for a walk to a ruined chapel, started off on a decent path but then got a little boggy!

The walk was from Skigersta heading to Tolsta over the peatland, here's a walk highlands link:

https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/outer-h ... apel.shtml

Was a cracking walk, but on the way we passed a guy on a fat bike, which got me thinking....

After lots of research I have ordered a Maxxis Chronicle 29x3.0 front tyre and an Ikon in 2.6 as I don't think the back end of the bike would take much more, certainly in 29 inch flavour!

As the majority of the terrain over here comprises of water and peat, my idea was maybe I'd turn the Scrambler into a 'half-fat' bike and have a go at the walk we did as a ride, but to carry on the to the 'Bridge to Nowhere'.

https://www.independent.co.uk/travel/uk ... 88416.html

So, if anyone fancies some barely used white 29x2.4 Onza Porcs.... give me a shout!

Here are a couple of pics from the walk.

Re:

Tyres fitted, looks more 'traditional' with black rubber but also looks a little more purposeful!

Will leave them for a couple of days pumped up hard to let them settle, then it will be 'experiment time' with lower pressures!

Still a good amount of clearance at the rear with the 2.6 too so no issues from running a wider tyre.

Not sure maybe if the Maxxis logo could have been a little bigger on the front.... 🤦

Re:

New bars and stem are incoming so the Thomson BMX stem and the Stooge Junker bars will be for sale if there's any interest!

They are both of 'old'/bmx dimensions eg 22.2 diameter, but the bars do come with a shim for 31.8 if required.

Bars are the 70mm rise version.
