Shimano - yes. Don't know about others.

I have used them (and KMC) with most chains with no problem...I also would recommend the KMC tool for undoing the links....saves a lot of frustration

I've used the sram powerlinks on KMC, shimano, taya, wipperman chains with no shifting issues..

So you should be ok fella..
