More faffing.

No idea what is under to light blue paint finish . It does have very slight metallic finish. As I purchased it about 15 years ago .
The long guards are old Bluemels lightweights . Never been used until yesterday.
£15 from a jumble a while ago.
You used to be able to get front extensions.

I wonder if the front guard mounting tab should go under the brake at the front of the fork rather than round the back - that will pull it up an inch , push it forward likewise

Now you mention quite possibly .
More faffing required.
Next in line is my old Bates B.A.R .
Brakes to sort out along with a Simplex juy 60 .

I cover all my bike frames with it when they are hanging up in the garage .
Saves a lot of tears.
They are all tightly packed with the pedals off .
I do the same! Some bikes look like they are packed to ship because I take 2 on a drive and stack them in the back of the car (a mini for many years) to prevent damage.
