Spoke lengths

You do not want to single any particular colour out  dt double butted in silver, with a Token black spoke here and there

Those wheels already have a smattering of token black thank you very much

Now I just need somewhere to beat £18 for 36 DT Comp Spokes. . .

I would've said 256, 254 rear, and 256 front.

I normally round down. There's no harm in the spoke coming up a little short of the top of the nipple, but if you run out of thread, the nipples will bind on the spokes making truing impossible.

The nipples I've ordered are long so I don't think a fraction of a mm will be an issue. . . .
Only issue with 254, 256 for the rear is economics. . .crc only list spokes in 36's which is a bit of a nuisance

with crc you put in the coments box id like 18x254 and 18x256      then you get 4 spares

Longer nipples have more thread, so the risk of running out of spoke thread is greater unless you correct by using shorter spokes. If you're using the DT calculator and enter longer than 12mm nipples, the spoke lengths it spits out are shortened by a couple of mm.

Fractions of a mm aren't a problem, but you do need to pay attention to the various rounding errors, and the assumptions your calculator makes. A couple of mm error can be enough to see you running out of thread.
