South Downs Way

Did the South Downs Way over the weekend. Scenery was absolutely stunning. Pics attached, which unfortunately don't do it justice.

My one bit of advice would be to go from west to east. The wind would have been brutal going in the opposite direction.

There was a race taking place on the Saturday with people doing the entire route in a day. Quite a few went past on gravel bikes with "skinny" tires, maybe 34c? Nutters. They must have been in bits by the time they got to Eastbourne. I cycled for a bit with a guy doing it on a single speed MTB. He was targeting sub-10hrs for the whole route.

I live locally, Exton in particular is beautiful, great pub in The Shoe and an award winning Winery, pretty lucky to live and work in the Meon Valley.
