So who's fell off in the snow?

Me......Twice

Went out on sunday for a play in the snow on the singlespeeder, 1st fall after 2 miles front wheel washed out and bam flat out on my chest and knacked my chest on the tube tube whilst sliding down the trail.

2nd fall riding along a frozen dirt road knowing full well the snow is covering some frozen puddles when all of a sudden crack the front wheel goes through and over the bars i go, arms out to save myself, and eat that snow lol

All in all a nice crisp 15 mile ride 2 spills, bruised ribs, sore shins, and a big stupid grin. Love it

Call me a wimp...but no riding for the last two days....roads are thick with ice.

Don't be a wimp,get out there and ride, i,ve been riding nearly everyday in the snow. It's great fun, and if you do fall off it's a softer landing (most of the time!!). When i finished eating my breakfast and writing this i'm off out again.

We had a dusting of snow on Saturday that lasted all of 10 minutes.
Other than that all we've had is mega hard frost and bright clear blue sky's all day for the last 4 days :roll:

18 miles so far in snow and ice over last 3 days and only one foot dab. 6 of those miles at night with a feeble LED light

I can feel a crash coming on, no winters complete without one

Came close a couple of times yesterday with the stealth puddles, but no ground interfaces. Surprising really as I am the clumsiest, least skilful organism to take to two wheels. I guess I wasn't trying hard enough .

It's pretty much an ice rink today though, and having bruised me ribs badly this year already, I'll exercise some sense.

Consider this my application for "the I've fallen off my Retrobike in the snow/ice" club.

Twice now. Landed on my shoulder first time, landed on my arse the second. Both are bruised and hurt.
