so what is this frame name and shame it

its defo not a saracen as its got ritchey drop outs

my saracens have ritchey droputs - that's what made me think of that - but yes agreed - never known a nickel plated one :D

did saracen use the diamond bottle mount bosses ow this isn't nickle plated but polished with a clear coat 8) weight in this morning at just over 3.5lbs and its a 17" c-c now thats light too still anyone got left field pics to judge against 8) 8)

The cable guides look like an early Kevin Winter, he also used Ritchey drop outs. He is a custom builder and the cable guides are probably just bought in like the drop outs, so my guess is its a nice british custom frame from mid 90's. Would look nice in a bright colour like orange, pink or kawa green IMO 8)

i was thinking bright either my fav kawa green same as my road bike or gloss bright white or orange i got some surly 1x1 forks to use with it so should be great as a single speed monster just with i know what it was    frame number is ym97010153 8)

As above hinted at, looks like a parkpre to me.

Edit - scrap that, don't think parkpre used Ritchey dropouts.

I had a similar Merlin with spiral external butting and nickel plating that was similar.

Lots of frames have ritchey drop outs.

The thing is they made so many little changes from year to year it's hard to pin down a particular model. There are similarities, but also differences:

Indeed.

Well, it's definitely not a Ritchey.

I reckon it's Taiwanese.

Could it be a (UK) Merlin mail-order frame?

I'd have to agree with this.
