I aren't prying purely on behalf of people with parts owed Steve, I once considered Si and myself to be good friends and I would like to know what on earth has happened to him and I really hope its not the worst.

I certainly hope so too..

I'm one of the people that is owed parts, but judging by the first post in this thread it's a grand total of £124 in value for the 4 people that have come forward. I know it's the principle of it all, but for the moment I'm more interested in his health..

I'm as concerned as anyone else..

Let's keep thing factual and to the point please. Simon indicated during his last absence from the site he would take legal action against those who he had considered had slandered him. Although of course given this is a written medium I suppose it would be libel but I digress.

I think GT-Steve's assessment of the situation a few posts back is probably accurate.

Simon does owe somewhat more than £124 worth of parts, some have asked they do not wish their names to appear on the list.

Make of it what you will, but last time he went missing due to 'illness' and was unable to make contact with members here, he was participating in another forum and showing photos of his new builds being ridden in woodland some distance from his house- certainly further than the telephone or his computor. When I mentioned that on this very forum he was round to my workshop shouting and bawling and threatening legal action.

On another note, his reputation amongst the local riders around these parts is hardly sparkling.

That said, I do hope all is well with him and he sorts everyone out and provides a reasonable explination for his actions.

Finally I'd like to request that no one else asks me to pop round or provide his address. I've been threatened with legal action before and ultimately it's nothing to do with me. You've been warned in the past and trading with him was your own decision. Sorry, but that's now your problem, not mine or the owner of this site.

I think realistically wether it is illness or reluctance it probably has gone as far as it can go through the site which is a shame.

Possibly now huntsos suggestion of those individuals who are owned parts/money approach those with siths address ...I would at least suggest recorded and ask sith for an update/parts/refund.

Someone at that address should be able to inform those who feel concerned/aggrieved

Thankfully this situation is rare but hopefully solvable

I have been following this thread with interest as last year I ordered some gear and brake cables from this member; after a few weeks I got in touch to ask where they were and was told they must have been lost in the post and some more would be posted to me, believing this member to be an upstanding retrobiker I duly waited... nothing... sent PM's... nothing, no replies since.
I don't care about the small sum of money involved, nor do I care for this individual, others have been banned from the site for lesser demeanours and if things have now gone as far as they can via this site then I would suggest this persons membership be terminated.

Agreed think this must result in a least a ban
