Show us what you did today, thread

Finally built my trail/gravel/tarmac hack…. More photos in post 98 readers bikes.

Think it’s a 99 or 00 British frame as it’s 531st and 27.0 seatpost and the Czech ones went to 27.2 by info I can see.

So Dawes galaxy, Thomson elite seatpost, brooks c67 saddle, bontrager ti-tec bar, gripshift xray, ergo gr3 grips, XT rear dealer, XT 8 speed cassette, dia-comps brake levers, fir sc200 rims, hope ti-light hubs, WNT pedals. Brakes, cranks and front derailleur as came with frame.

New tyres and added some bits I dug out…. Titanium seatpost, deda quill to threadless adapter and old specialized titanium stem to go with bontrager to-tec bar already on bike.

I hope all the Macretro clan are doing well and getting out riding still. I was out and about on the Pugsley around Loch More on the weekend.
Still a great riding bike, built it up from frame about 12 or 13 years ago now. I am going to build a new set of wheels next month for it as the rear hub is shot so picked up some Holy Darylls and will get a couple of rear XT hubs.
Hopefully will get them done in the next month as the Pugs always see's more use once the weather turns.

Had a look at the local thrift shop in Driggs, Idaho and there was this cute little Giant Yukon for $25. Not enough room in my bags fortunately. 😂 IMG_4048.webp
