the older Tange steel bikes like this one are better than the later alu framesets and usually came with good dependable components - if looked after, the components alone will be worth far more - as is the case here sadly. Shogun as a bike brand in UK died with the decline of Caratti Sport distributor so dont attract any kind of following, despite being a good basis for a retro build - decals aren't possible to source outside of the antipodes IIRC so maybe leave them as-is and enjoy the patina? one word of caution, I have a fully restored prairie breaker that no-one appears interested in buying at any price - so only buy one of these if you are going to use it yourself or use as a donor bike IMHO. I only paid £40 for mine so if this one can be acquired for that I would say the groupset, stem etc are worth way more sold individually. the frame could also be re-purposed into a 1x cruiser/clunker or funky student bike
