Shipping to the USA - who should I use?

Who should I look at potentially use to ship a bike to the USA, and what sort of cost would there be?

I have just looked at Parcel Farce online, and they quoted £112 :shock: Is this reasonable? Seemed a bit OTT to me!

Parcel2go's website seemed a bit naff, and I couldnt get an online quote. Although, MCK has used them as says there ok :?

Any ideas, pointers, advice guys???

£112 thats not bad at all i sent a box of magazines that cost me more than that with parcelforce. double it or more with likes of dhl or likes

I use a company called TransWorld Global now for shipping outside Europe. They're very good - the Ultimate frame and fork cost me £90 to send to the States including insurance at sale value (£400). They use UPS as a carrier too which is reassuring.

Yeah I got a quote of £312 to get a bike down from up north (uk!!) :shock: :shock:

Cost me £76 with the cheapest parcel force price I could get (sorry cant remember the service name)

Parcel 2 go refused to quote online as despite not weighing much they use some mad volumetric weight ratio that works out being bizzarly heavy.

The website seemed to let me book it untilthe last step after 20 mins filling in details it says oh sorry iots too heavy/large/silver.
