Shipping bike to republic of ireland

Quick one for those of you that have shipped a bike to the ROI

I've boxed the bike up and it's in a standard 147x80x20 bike box and weighs 13kg.

I had thought parcel force would take this as they ship items up to 150cm but their online price tools suggests it's too big

Having had mad quotes from some of the obvious couriers has anyone done this recently and can you suggest a reasonably priced option for me

If you enter those measurements and weight on www.parcel2go.com you get a quote of £34.74 for Parcelforce (insurance will cost extra)

Re:

I'd love to know what you did to get that.... I've tried and it says it's too big and needs to be repackaged into smaller items

Probably forgot to change the location from UK! Have you tried senditnow?

Where are you shipping to?

Parcelmotel will take bigger items to Ireland but they have to be picked up from North Dublin (near the airport as I recall).

Obviously someone in Limerick wouldn't be happy having to make that commute.

Re:

Limmerick you say...

There was a young man in Cork,
Who posted a bike frame and fork,
He didnt know how,
Is regretting it now
As the parcel ended in York
