As soon as the 636s came out people started switching. You'll be hard pressed to find anyone racing on platforms these days.

If memory serves ; the red DX brake has longer adjustment slots than the silver LX ; minor thing maybe but they aren't just LX's with paint on.

You sure, thought they shared the same code ? BL-M600/601 (well with a -mx suffix to give the part mentioned below)
As far as I know the only difference is the red colour and the MX logo along with the only physical change being the square barrel locknut compared to the same LX model

Just to add the groupset year ? (not 1997 as that had the M600 lever)
