Seeking advice on what I’ve just bought.

Dirt Disciple
Whilst trolling the local markets on FB I came across this at the weekend, never heard of them, can't find much about the bike company apart from the famous Raymond Poulidor.

So I'm looking for so assistance if possible on the history and heritage of these bikes, if any. Maybe it's not a Poulidor, but one that’s been rebadged? Does anyone recognise the badge on the head tube?

We have a steel frame. Sticker says Performance Tubing made in Japan - chromo 4130.
Full Shimano RSX Groupset and hubs on Rigida rims.
Serial number is at the bottom of the seat tube and begins CW, the rest is covered. Is CW synonymous with Poulidor bike?
Frame 56cm

All in all a nice looking bike, that needs a new saddle, bar tape and possibly an upgrade to a more modern groupset.

So if anyone can shed any light on whether this is a Poulidor or not, I would be very grateful for you feedback.

A #of French retired riders have ranges of bikes endorsed by them & sold through various Super Market chains the con glom of bike factory's in St Etienne usually produce these but having not checked of late they could be product of China Usually the French built ones have French threading & think the chicom 's are BSA threading but could be wrong some of the replica models were better quality /kit not sure if they still do but Decathlon SM's carried " Poulidors"the bike in the photo's is probably produced & badged for several different "Names" the lower end of the quality range with the price being €200/250 would be my thoughts Unless of sentimental value I personally would not throw money at it possibly a reasonable commute ride

Re:

Many thanks for your feedback, really appreciated. Having had a ride out today, the bike feels nice, but sally it’s too small, so it’s going to be moved on.
