Things happen pretty fast around here. Gary Fisher left me a message on my cellphone yesterday that he had enough Frequent Flier miles to pick up a ticket for me to England for the Fort William MTB festival, where they will be screening "Klunkers." Director Bill Savage will also be there.
Couldn't raise Gary to discuss it before he actually purchased said ticket, so it looks like I'll be seeing some of you. I'll be leaving SF on 18 February, arriving around noon on the 19th.
The ticket is for Heathrow, and Gary had some other business to attend to, so I would still have to get to Scotland. My options are to take another flight or perhaps a train, but I thought some of the retro-regulars might be headed that way, and might not mind hearing hours of lies about the history of mountain biking, delivered in a genuine California accent that you could then practice to impress girls.
