Schumacher May Win A Race Or Two This Year...

Personally I think it's brilliant that he's third on the grid tomorrow.. So he's right up there with LH, JB, MW and SV. Shame that Kimi's got himself a penalty..

I can't wait to watch the first lap with those 5 battling it out 8)

Lewis, "I didn't see him, honest!", may well meet his match in Michael, "I saw him but if I don't admit it and just give a wry grin when asked the stewards will favour me. They always do..".

Schumi would have no qualms about punting his sorry ass into the gravel if push came to shove between them.

And he's quite good at making it look like a "racing incident" as well.

The track conditions dictated how aggressive Schmacker was into the first turn, he knew there was no point in risking it.

Could be anyone's race in these conditions.

Some people complain about this kind of thing, but I love to see how they adapt.

Ironic that we have a beautiful warm sunny day here, at a time of year we often still have snow. OK it is not ironic, and neither is rain on your wedding day. It is about time we had a Scottish F1 race.

Shumacher just bullied his team mates into submission and broke the rules to get his results punted Hill off the track to win
Thank god his time is over the boredom nearly killed the sport
Look forward to the new generation they are showing their colours already
Pity the sport is regulated by the French and owned by a rich midget but ho hum you can't have everything can you

Whilst he may have asserted certain demands within the teams he raced for, and also, crossed the line several times (Hill, Villeneuve, Monaco 2006), it would be asinine to suggest that was all that got him his results.

Sure, he'll have got the odd occasional victory through team orders - but look at his stats for wins and poles.

He probably had all sorts of privilege allowed to him at his peak - but got that because of his talent and ability. I was never particularly a fan before he retired, but the one thing I never doubted was his driving or racing ability.

Was that a significant aspect to his talent, though? The team he managed to get to work together - personally, I think that's a significant aspect as to why he dominated so long - he had the talent and ability, and other factors (success, determination) enabled him to attract the right people with a good budget. I think that's why he dominated for so long - for several, related reasons.

Nicely put most eloquent
I had to chuckle when one of his Bennetons was up for sale a few years ago complete with its traction control system ( which it never had as it was agai st the rules )

Quite right!......senna is quoted in the movie as not being able to understand the performance of the benneton after his computer controlled Williams suspension was banned in 1993.....it was contained in the wing mirror iirc!....

Yeah. Schumacher will go down in history as one of the great cheats.

Like Maradona, McEnroe, Armstrong, Kasparov, Lewis, ad infinitum.

I am sure he is crying into his Kölsch.

One of the greatest "cheats" in the history of F1 was Colin Chapman, yet he is remembered as a genius with the occasional loveable rogue trick.

There are a certain element in British F1 fans who half believe that Schumacher cheated his way to all his championships. Some even believe it completely.
