I've got one as my main bike but the only original component is a bit of the headset, that looks like everything is original.

Hello. I was the winning bidder, but won't relax completely until it's here. It does look original, and my original plan for a Maverick build was to change it around a lot (a respray and modern-ish SA hub brakes/gears/dynamo) but it looks so good that I don't think I will be changing it. I have a couple of lesser Mavericks and an Ozark - some/all of which will be for sale - unless I put the SA hubs on one of those...

That definitely qualifies as changed a lot. . Here's one of my other Mavericks, still with the awful sofa-saddle it came with

Really like these early Mavericks, I’d have had a bid if it were closer to home.

I’m sure I remember seeing one in the original National Cycle Museum in Lincoln back in the ‘80s as an example of the “Mountain Bike Craze”!
