Saracen Maxtrax 19" - 1994

I have recently been given an almost unused 1994 Saracen Maxtrax, however, as you'd expect the front suspension MaxShock Team elastomers have given up.
Would anyone know if it is possible to have these shocks repaired or any other fix? Perhaps I need to replace these with something else??
It would be a shame as everything else is absolutely original as per the 1994 catalogue right down to the Ritchey Z Max tyres....oh... well apart from the colour is a lite electric blue not Ultra Violet, does that make a difference to the type?

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

I replaced mine with some rigid sus' geometry forks .. as I couldn't source any Saracen replacements at the time ... however, several appeared for sale after I bought these.
One problem with the swap was the fact they didn't like the centre pull cantilevers and created some serious vibration, I had some Avid side pull 'V' type brake in my parts bin which totally eliminated the issue.

Not to everones taste and with city tyres on at the time looked a bit overkill, but hey-ho.... my son is happy enough with it for commuting duties in Winchester and has not given him one mechanical issue since ownership.

Thanks Dazdc5, that's probably the way I'll be forced to go. I've got a local shop trying to source some elastomers so we'll see how that progresses before making a final decision. Good flag on the issue with the brakes.

Re:

Search in here, pretty sure someobe pisted about generic elastomers, you need to specify diameter hardness etc then cut to kength.

Yep, but I guess I need to know what the elastomer dimensions and specs were for the originals?? I can't find any detailed specs for MaxShocks....any ideas what should the specs be?
