The British army has been an all volunteer force since it's inception in the 1600's apart from conscription in 1916 and the start of WW2 until 1963 to draw down the empire. So certainly in my time didnt have people who didnt want to be there. More a case of weeding out the week and a case of we got it shit so can you.
