Roller Cam thingy

I dont know what the proper name is for this, I shall call it a roller cam, as no doubt someone on here will correct me..

Heres what I am looking to do , I have a set of pace evo 36s pro class, the ones with the carbon bridges on both front and back.. and I want to run a cantilever brake on this fork but it has no 'stop' for the cantis, as the fork really was designed for 'V' s, so do you think it is possible to install a 'roller cam' on the bridge to accept a cantilever.. Like the one on the old RC35s ? Tim from just backdated has advised against drilling the carbon bridge due to strength issues, upon talking to the guys at fibre lyte they seem to think it would be ok if it was drilled in the middle! so what do I do ? drill it and install a 'roller cam' (if I can get one) or has anyone else another solution.. I have also thought of using a brake booster with a canti hanger in and after a lot of phone calls today I cant find one so I am struggling so I need help.. any suggestions would be much appreciated..

Yea did see these but they are 'carbon brace for Judy forks.' its the same sort of thing that I want but must be able to fit onto the pace forks...

You are proabally thinking about the rocker on the original RC-35's. If it were my choice I'd definately run V's as the forks were designed for these and I found the rocker a complete pig to set up. If you do decide to go down satans route get an old Pace rocker and fix it through the brace with a longer bolt and a big washer (on each side, possibly epoxyed). Dont claim to be any kind of carbon expert but it's not my stuff that will break!!!! So go for it!!

Can't you just install a hanger on the steerer or am I missing something?

Forks go up and down, lengthening and shortening - your brake cable doesn't, so your brakes would work and then not.....

Thanks pete.. knew that.. looks like 'V's might be on the cards, It will be such a shame not to use the 'Hand' on the IBIS... come on you guys there must be a answer ....

Was just educated about this by pm by Sithlord

Is there some way you can keep tension by using some sort of Gyro'esque contraption?
cable from lever goes in & different cable to canti's comes out, by some sort of spring set up, tension always kept?!

Not sure i'm explaining myself properly

.............Trundles to bed with head in hands..........

v's on the front, cantis on the rear. e.g. avid speed dial something levers are able to actuate both properly (i have that set up on a klein). requires seperate shifters but that's not a big problem.
