Rock bands re-united

Halen were ripping several times I saw them recently.

Floyd? Roger Waters always puts in a great show, got my tickets for several nights next year.

REM have never lost it, and they can rock it up when required.

Zeppelin just don't do it often enough to get the edge back, Plant is excellent solo.

Whenever Neil Young comes out to play it is worth seeing, and whenever that happens to be with the Horse, it is an unmissable event.

I thought Cream were well below par actually, turgid I felt.

Clapton with Winwood was much nearer the mark.

Halen stand out for me, I saw their last gigs with DLR in 84, and I have to say they are different, but still have something no other band really has.

Can't say what it is though.

ACDC were still very much on it after Scott, at least up until the mid 80s when I last saw them.

Hawkwind still do something interesting.

Oh, roll on summer so I can get stoned in a field watching these old geezers who should have packed it in years ago.

Exactly why should they?

I saw one of the best gigs of my life in 1990, the Stones at Wembley.

They were MUCH better than the time before that, age does not always harm the music.

Those who care more for the image might find a problem with it, but I am all about the music.

Dylan can still bring it too. When he wants to.

:)

Alice Cooper still kicks ass, going to see his Halloween show at the Roundhouse in Camden.

Garbage have been rumoured to be getting new material together although never officially split up - much more contemporary I know.

And of course, and staying on the contemporary note, Skunk Anansie are back together are they are F*CKING AMAZING live! *Remembers Skin being stood on his shoulders whilst singing 'Weak' at the Electric Ballroom*

+1 for Ac/Dc

Also Motorhead and Iron Maiden both still rock it like a good 'un!!

+1

Definately say those two are on it :D

One of the worst reformations of one of my fave groups is The Smashing Pumpkins....Corgan looks bloated and bored and the magic is long gone without Jimmy Chamberlin.

If we are talking re-united in the sense of who we would like to see together again i would love to see Guns & Roses as the original lineup although i would like them to have both Steve Adler and Matt Sorum on Drums at the same time

If we are talking bands that did reform

Smashing Pumpkins

Black Sabbath - still great

Haven't played under that name for some time, Heaven and Hell were just Sabbath mark 2, but alas no more with the passing of RJD
Can't see them ever playing with Ozzy again, so sorry to say the Sabs are long gone

Nah, it's not that long since I saw them (is it? )
Before the last reunion we had years of 'it'll never happen', but it did, so I won't be writing them off just yet.

Heaven and Hell were also fantastic. Saw them and Alice Cooper in the space of a week or two a few years back. RIP RJD :(
