2015 Austro-Daimler TT Carbon Limited.

This is the final mockup before cabling the bike. So the grips got the final trim and the hairspray overspray removed, the brake levers and shifters transition nicely into the 2mm thick Soyo grips. For me this is good fit with palm support.
Next up is cabling so we are getting closer to a test ride .

Have A Grand Day: Mike
you sprayed the bars with hairspray?

ya daft bugger, it's meant to go in the grip. 🤣

My mental state has been sagging lately due to a minor injury. Much to my surprise I now have a inguinal hernia.
I'm still training to go Time Trailing in spite of my injuries as the clock is ticking.
So what am I doing about it, I bought a Amazon hernia belt and spent a few days adjusting it for maximum effect and it does a good job of of keeping everything where it belongs and it is as comfortable as can be expected, but it does look like something Tim Curry would wear...

So what next... Dr.'s appointment next week to get fondled and see what the repair plan is. in the meantime I will hire somebody to lick my wounds.
As I turn 69 next month my thoughts are "Fook It I'm Not Dead Yet, full speed ahead.

Take it easy Mike. There are always a few more tomorrows.

The ball is now rolling on the hernia repair, I am opting for the robotic procedure because, smaller incisions, a better installation of the mesh reinforcements, and quicker healing.

The first appointment is on September 11 (I know 9-11 wasn't a good day here in the USA) for a jiggle and poke and fill out the paperwork.
The doctor/surgeon I chose has a great reputation and as far as I can tell he hasn't killed anyone yet : )
So I have high hopes for a good result.

The surgery should follow closely around mid to late September. Work is going to cover 75% of my pay for 40 days for my recovery so no worries there. As it looks to me mid October I should be operational for light training.

To keep my spirits elevated I have been engaging in retail therapy and bought a load of titanium hardware for low strain/effort bicycle entertainment during my downtime. More updates as they happen.

Wishing Everyone A Wonderful Week: Mike
