good stuff clubby, as previously mentioned my retro road rarely gets looked at such are the joys of light & stiff modern bike.

sidi shoes are pretty narrow too, used a pair of carnac recently and got to admit they'll be my next shoes. crc always has them at good rates too...

Yeah, tried on Sidi MTB shoes and motorbike boots before and they were too narrow. Tempted by Bont shoes and Merlin do free returns, it's just a hassle. As much as I love online shopping, shoes are the one thing I like to buy in a proper shop. Most places just don't do a huge range though.

Just take a spade an remove the bit from inside your pinky toe back. you don't really need your pinky toe anyway, especially with cleats on.

Scary I almost did this once with a garden fork, but it was my middle toe. Straight through my trainers, toe and stuck in the sole! Pulled it straight out without feeling or realising I'd done it. Was only once it started to bleed I realised.

Agree with Kaiser, second hand hand shoes can cause you more problems than you imagined.

yes I agree but these only appear to have been tried on a couple of times and that should be evident from veiwing - not much different to having 20 feet before you in them from a shop
