RM Sotheby's auction including classic road bikes...

some nice bikes in there, be interesting to see how deep the market is, if some of the unsold stuff on ebay is anything to go by a good few of these could go cheap

Interesting selection of bikes - eclectic I would call it. Some of the reserves look a bit low to me, especially for some of the 'bulk' lots. A pair of Campag Delta brakes alone on one bike possibly worth more than the estimate?

How much would carriage be to get a lot sent from Italy though?

I like the Innocenti Mini Cooper. Only found out yesterday that they made them under licence! Along with A40's and another BMC model (forgotten which one!)

A couple of bikes I would like, Lygie and Gloria. Not that simple. It costs EUR100 to register to bid, plus EUR2000 made available to auctioneers in case you don't pay, plus a bank letter. I could not find how you can have purchases delivered. And of course its not on line.
And about 20% premium added to bid.

Loads of Cambio Corsa, but I wanted a Margherita, like the Ganna. I could be the last person around who used a Paris-Roubaix in a genuine road race (not a retro event).

Re:

It does seem like a faff to bid. I guess that's the problem with mixing £2m cars with bicycles - the bidding fees and guarantees for the former are a barrier for byers of the latter.
