Ritchey 2 x 9 Help

Is the WCS hub made by Sachs? (Looks similar to the Neos hub I used to have)

Sachs FH bodies had slightly longer splined section than Shimano, as Sachs 8-speed spacing was originally 5,0mm.

But if it's an earlier/later model, it might explain the problem - you couldn't squeeze a Sachs PowerGlide cassette onto a Shimano freehub body as it was too deep - had huge problems getting one to run on a Hope BITD.... - had to respace it with Shimano Spacers which nearly killed the splines.

The Ritchey catalogue state they used Shimano freehub bodies on the hubs designed with the 2x9 in mind

Thanks guys for the info and help, I have mailed jeff and he has replied saying ..... ' only put on one of those 2 x 9 systems so I don't remember all that much about it. ' .... so looks like that avenue is closed     he said also that he had some catalogs but he does not think there is any installation instructions there..

Jeeeezzz this is really really annoying,, I thought the retrobike massive would have worked this one out

Yeah,i think the problem lies with the cassette body.Think you need an 8 speed XT hub, M737.The body has a silver spacer at the base which needs to be removed. That should free up the space you need.I had one on my Bontrager a couple of years ago.My body needed replacing and this body is no longer available! Think i bought one s/h off Ebay in the end.You will have to do a search and find one.Hope this helps!
Thanx Max

Any one else help with this ?

I am using as far as I am aware everything I need, in order to run this system according to the cat. ?

they are very good with customer service . I emailed them about stickers for the P21 , and I had a email back within 1 hour and stickers arrived a week later .
