The Ritchey catalogue state they used Shimano freehub bodies on the hubs designed with the 2x9 in minddbmtb":2rtteymo said:Is the WCS hub made by Sachs? (Looks similar to the Neos hub I used to have)
Sachs FH bodies had slightly longer splined section than Shimano, as Sachs 8-speed spacing was originally 5,0mm.
But if it's an earlier/later model, it might explain the problem - you couldn't squeeze a Sachs PowerGlide cassette onto a Shimano freehub body as it was too deep - had huge problems getting one to run on a Hope BITD.... - had to respace it with Shimano Spacers which nearly killed the splines.
This is starting to give me nightmares!
Could i ask one question? Has this 2x9 set up ever been used before?
Or are you the first tryee? is that even a word?
Have you tried other freehub bodies? does my bum look big in this?
is it time to call time? what is time? am i helping?
