Rather not say in open forum

and tbh it was 30 yrs ago so im not totally 100% on the name now. might confuse it with another reputable dentist but i wouldnt reckon there would be many practicing out of Glasgow in the min 90's that was struck off.
He's bound to be in his 70's by now so its water under the bridge for me. Unfortunate, how were parents to know etc etc etc shit happens in life and im actually exceptionally lucky so im sure thats karma's attempting to balance out the equation
Its all left me with a sour taste in my mouth

but i am quite concerned about the entire dentistry industry as im not going to call it a profession ever again
Am i right here as this is how it was explained to me by a consultant recently-
Each dentist is the owner of your dental records and the record doesnt follow you if you change. It is required that you ask or your new dentist asks to see use them and at that point only the new dentist gets to see them and base if needed his treatment on that.
My medical records like everybody follow them and are accessible from any doctor/health professional center with the system buy the dental are his own :?
Seems odd because if you have been through a number of them it would be difficult to track them all down and 'ask' them for a copy. That to me seems unfair as its my body the records are of and therefore i would think the copyright of anything printed from such would be my property
You probably not heard that one before

but it is a fair point to make an possibly a relevant one. Sure he has completed work and if recorded there would be joint ownership but i reiterate that if its me myself and i then shouldnt the dental records like the medical records follow me around and be accessible to all health professionals.
BLAME MIDLIFE FOR THE HIJACK. He wasnt to know though that the Scottish members of this forum have actually contributed more than the other areas combined. Engage a Scots in talk at your peril
