Rigid rides best !

Just an off topic, has anyone tried steel and carbon rigid forks? is there much difference on the feeling over rough grounds of these two type of forks? someone mention than carbon forks is more gentle on the wrists and hands than steel forks.

love rigid , probably because of the years of bmx

can only just about justify the bombers on my bike

as for the above question i have a set of one off white dmr trailblades ( these things are seriously overbuilt  )

and some 05 pace rc31

both have been on the same bike

the steels felt like i could run into walls and be better off than the bricks  very precise in the corners and that lovely rigid feeling that your actually pushing the tread into the dirt while leaning the bike over , the absorbtion is all in the tyre and wheel

the pace 31s however scare me  there is a noticable flex under braking , to the point where its visable to people next to you , they even creak :? but yes they do seem to take a lot of the "twang " out of the stones and roots . dont seem to flex sideways but you dont get as much of the feeling of the tread on the tyres
