Excited now. My 1st road ride

You think you are excited now? Just wait until you are dropping down the Cheddar Gorge and Dave's flakey back brake goes all wobbly

Super splendid, thanks daj. 8) there's a couple of moderns comming with Jim, who need converting. So that makes 9. Of which 6 are kosha and 3 tuppaware.

Do I need to get a helmet without a peak on it? and water bottle? I guess a hydration pack is out of the question.

I'm wearing baggies over my shorts though, sorry. Don't want to put that on display!

I could always drop it off tomorrow on way home from work for a refurb???

Good to see the abuse has started already  (that's before I spend hours sat with them in a van getting down there   )

No worries Tim ... Don't you worry what the others say ....that beast clocked 49mph on another national ride .... Oh yeah that's right I didn't have much choice

did 47mph on my mtb on my commute home yesterday, had a blow out at 38mph offroad, with a lot off loose rocks, so like it a bit sketchy ;)

Tim you are welcome to borrow my not so retro Spesh if you want? All working spot on and your size? Has pedals/toe clips but change them to yours if you like?

...Have you shaved your legs?

Doug

didn't think of you mate! If that's ok, it will save Dave having to get another bike ready tomorrow night! Can pick it up after work tomorrow evening

Sorted!!! Was starting to sweat a little bit over the headlines "Retrobiker drops off end of Gorge due to ill prepared bike" eeeekkk  :o
