Retro/new tyres suitable for use on sand...? As in, beach...

And here is a pic for your mockers. Granted I was on the 29er but that there is the Cairngorms and those three bikes are ss.

Isn't there a new size or rim and tyre out now that's somewhere between Fatbike and normal now?

I'm sure I watched a video recently where the reviewer mentioned (yet) another option.

Yeah, you can now get 'plus' sizes in 26", 27.5 " and 29". Basically a 3" tyre on a 45mm or fatter rim. Quite a good compromise between normal and fat.
 
I've been riding on beaches for decades. Soft stuff isnt really navigable without a fat bike but normal hard stuff just needs something with a nobble or ten.

Anything from Tioga Factory XC to Smokes to IRC.
