If I was going to return my 1992 CB Anteaus to standard I would be needing the correct forks, however here lies the problem as I brought it new in '92 and had the forks swapped to Manitou 2's I cant remember the model of forks I will need. I can remember that they were Marzocchi's competition to the Manitou 2 and Rockshox Mag21, they were silver in colour (possibly with black Marzocchi decals and had a hole drilled in the lowers that looked cast and were flattened and tapered toward the dropout. I can also recall that they weren't that well rated alongside the Manitous but were about as good as the Mag21's.
Any one got any ideas and some links to pictures?

I will only be needing these, an XT short cage rear mech, 1 1/8th threaded headset and Zoom stem to return the bike to normal, I reckon the forks will be hard to identify and even harder to find, the rest should be fairly easy.

Cheers,

Carl.

You are talking about Marzocchi XC400. XC500 were manitou 4 and Judy xc competitors, while MArzocchi MX100 were the first forks, competing with RockShox RS1 and manitou 1's

Found some pics and they look right to me, might have to try and find some for sale now then.

1992 RockShox had MAG20/30 out, Marzocchi was at XC300.
I assume you had the grey with silver writing Manitou forks

1993 models of Marzocchi where XC 400/150/50 and competed with MAG21/10/Quadra and Manitou2

XC500 were manitou 4 and Judy xc competitors,
in fact XC500/51 where '94 MAG21/Manitou3 competitors
XC600 competed with the Judy range ('95 models)

Yes the fork you are after is the XC300.

I have some and can take a few photos for you if that helps.

Not the XC300's seem pics of them and they don't have the drilled holes, unless your are different to the one I have seen. XC400's look the closest match so far.
Might be selling the kit though pending weekend spending as I have my eye on a brand I have always wanted.

Carl.
