retro downhill restoration

hi i have had a old school ddg tthe slammer the first one ive been restoring after being neglected by the old owner im nearly there but i could do with some help with swapping out rear shock its confusing me and then i cant get the gears to work when qr is done up could be bent hanger / deraliur fault ??? it would be a great help if anyone could help m e finish this lovely retro ride :)

Bent hanger could affect chainline and make indexing difficult. Does it look stright without a wheel on?

it looks fine untill the qr is tightened i can see it curve in :( theres also a little bit of play in the hub (getting a hope pro 2 on monday ) and some play in the jockey wheels ??
 
sounds like the axle needs spacing better. if yo sit the wheel in the frame un done is there a big gap between the frame an cone nuts ect on the axle. so when u do the qr it pulls the frame in alot

how would one do this ? sounds quite possible in this one
