I did photography at college including developing my own pics...

sadly 15 years and beer has taken its toll - I cant remember a thing except the smell of developing fluid....

the smell of fixative for me. Like unleashing a mega strong pack of salt and vinegar discos in the room. :-)

thats the one! only people who've developed their own pics can know that one....

want a nikon fg? :D

What is your favourite film?

oohhh.....

Overall Kodak Tri-X. So flexible, but great whatever you do with it.

others....

Agfa Dia Direct 12asa. Such nice tones. R.I.P
Ilford FP4
Kodachrome
Echtachrome 100
Velvia (not that into Fuji though bitd - bit too lurid)
Infra Red film...so cool.

Going to go and find out what papers you can still get. Hope they still make Fibre based Kentmere Art Cartridge. :-)

Star Wars is my favourite film

BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help me .......I'm currently trying to avoid buying a Benbo tripod but fear the worst will happen, to be followed by a Grand Opening of my Box of Olde Pentaxes

I've still got my Pentax MX and 3 lenses - it's battle scarred from traveling but still works fine. I bought it for college... 21 years ago now.

The worst being...falling victim to the evil Benbo bagpipe monster. :D

Seriously, with a Benbo, try before you buy. They don't work like other tripods which works both for and against them.

I like mine because it forces me to slow down (even more so than with a more normal tripod). If they still do it, get the extra pivot - it enables you to adjust the angle of the camera holding arm, without unlocking the legs.

Rate velvia at 40 ASA rather than 50, takes the edge off it, drops the contrast to slightly more believeable levels. Don't pull process it though, still develop it as 50ASA.

Oh and blast from the past, Kodak Tech pan at 12ASA developed in Agfa Rodinal, drool.

Love the RZ WU, I've got the RB with a smattering of lenses, they'll fit the RZ (fully manual only) if you ever need a loaner

God, please don't buy a Benbo, they are the very contrivance of satan himself on a particularly mean day. You will end up with all your camera equipment on the floor and you will be sitting beside it weeping into your hands mourning it.

Tripods in the collection today:
Gitzo carbon with Foba head
Linhoff with Linhoff head
Manfrotto with Arca Swiss head

Please, please, please, please don't buy a Benbo, they look like a good idea but they really aren't.
