Wanted Retaining screws for Sram Apex brake pads.

I fiitted some 2nd hand Apex brakes to my new build they came without pads and when I bought a new set they came with a split pins but the callipers require a specific screw. Looking online so far, I can only see titanium replacements which seems a bit ridiculous. Does anyone know how to get just normal steel screws for my pads or perhaps have a spare set hanging around (having upgraded to titanium perhaps :D ?

Thanks
John

Thanks but mine go into a blind hole so there is nothing showing through which you could put a circlip on. This is part of the problem, I have tried googling Sram Apex 1 brake caliper screw but just generic results for Sram or Avid brake are returned.

Well I didn’t know that, must have changed pin design for the new monoblock brakes.

The circlip is only there as belt and braces. I ran plenty of SRAM brakes without them as they tend to ping away into the magical void under the garage shelves when removing them. The thread looks very similar to the standard parts. I’m pretty sure the standard pins would work, Your only other option is to buy proper retail packs of SRAM pads, which contain all the parts. These can be had for about £16 each if you shop about. Just make sure you to buy them from somewhere showing the full pack and not just oem pads which often just can bare.

I’ve only a couple of spare standard pins myself, but could post you one to try if you pm me your address.
