A good few years ago I was racing a (now old) hardtail down Cleveland's Carlton Bank, NAMBS I think it was, and flipped over the bars on the lower off camber sections. To cut a long story short the crash slightly twisted one of my Brooklyn Machine Works 'Snot Rocket' canti's. I am wondering if a metal finishers or a metal workers shop would be able to re-straighten it? What do you think? Alternatively can anyone offer advice on what I can do to get them back to 'normal' please?

Many thanks,

Lee.

is it aluminium? if it is then i suspect its goosed. aluminium work hardens so the more it is bent and re bent the more brittle and prone to cracking it becomes. heating it before trying to rebend it could also cause problems.

i suppose its no good as it is so you have nothing to lose. i recomend a vice and a big hammer, but then i am pretty rough!
