Yep, but on camera on the Repack is the time to avoid

Being conscious about avoiding it on camera will get you right into it !!!

too true!

One of my best falls was down pipeline Newnham 91.
There were a LOT of people. Including my mum with video
Have seen myself about a dozen times now on YBF

Aside from myself and FairfaxPat on this board, I believe Mr. K has been down the run. The section where the camera rider fell gets everyone, and as I watched his video and saw him riding the wrong side of the road, his chances of staying on his bike evaporated. It's the most treacherous fifty feet on the entire hill, very off camber, very steep and very slippery when the road is dry, as it is now. It comes right away, and it's the first and worst of a number of surprises the hill has to offer.

You do not want to try to be competitive on Repack on your first time down it. It helps to appreciate it before challenging it, but a few of the riders went for broke, figuring they would only get one ride on the hill. The camera rider was not riding so fast as he was riding the wrong line, because the camber forces you to the left side of the road and you have to give yourself room to drift across.

Riding with a video camera, Joe Breeze cut that same corner, but stayed on his bike and rode out of it. A thorn from the brush had punctured his tyre though, and he fell further down the road, which he also got on video.

Good analysis - I think its one of those 'much harder than it looks' type video affairs!

I think I am going to have to see if I can get the family over there, would love to take a ride in that area. Very jealous MrK!
