1992 Kona Cindercone

Just picked this up from the Reading bicycle kitchen even though space is at a premium!
Given it a quick clean but service/new parts are in the growing queue🤦‍♂️
Looks to be all original except the tyres, so all the usual Kona parts, kinda like the fact different from and rear brakes where specced.
Strangely the brakes blocks look original and barely worn (but cracked) but chain worn and cassette full of crud. Some rust on the mechs, so maybe a change to XT might be a future option.
Colour has faded to a burnt orange, but I do like that, and the short stem suits my age!
Enjoy the current pictures IMG_20240630_140015.jpg IMG_20240630_135931.jpg IMG_20240630_141332.jpg

Although serviced a few months ago, replaced good but cracked brake blocks and tyres (originals would have been black) suitable for the riding she will see.
Done some local riding, but today took the Cindercone for a 70km ride.
Slower than my titanium Equilibrium, but just as much fun😁

The SunTour LTD groupset is gem very few know of. Being a 1992 model, it should have a PowerFlo (ramps and gates) cassette. That makes it easier to combine with non-SunTour chains even though it will neve work as with the original AP chains.
