It's actually a bit of a pain.
While you can throw on pretty much any kind of chemical, the moment you go for a Scotch brite
you will be polishing the brushed finish. I've made this mistake and ended up needing to Scotch brite the
whole frame to make it a consistent finish after.
If I was to do it again, paint stripper then rinse with hot water, or even a power jet wash, and only a gentle
wipe with a soft damp cloth. I've used WD40 and lemon juice on a polished frame before now.
