Can anyone recommend a method for removing decals that won't damage the finish of the frame. They don't appear to have been lacquered over, and I want to replace them.

It's actually a bit of a pain.

While you can throw on pretty much any kind of chemical, the moment you go for a Scotch brite
you will be polishing the brushed finish. I've made this mistake and ended up needing to Scotch brite the
whole frame to make it a consistent finish after.

If I was to do it again, paint stripper then rinse with hot water, or even a power jet wash, and only a gentle
wipe with a soft damp cloth. I've used WD40 and lemon juice on a polished frame before now.

Acetone works on Merlin, seven and fat chance ti decals

The only answer is as Magpie said, heat it up with a hairdryer - they will peel straight off. Then use a bit of WD40/GT85 to remove any left over residue.

Please do not use acetone, paint stripper or any harsh chemical as I'd hate you to take the lacquer clean off.
A hairdryer is the way to go.

If its brushed Titanium it won't have any lacquer anyway.
Bit of heat from a hairdryer or heat gun, then isopropyl alcohol or WD40/GT85 to remove any left over sticky .
