rear wheel alignment

Re:

Took the wheel off.. and took some new photos.

Anyone see what i'm missing? Surely i must be missing something because there's nothing i could take from the drive side to put on the left side to make things even.

Aren't i supposed to have a shiny silver cap on the drive side to stop the dirt/mud getting in?

Re:

Spacing looks fine as does everything else. They are cheap wheels and good chance they are just not quite dished right.

Do they slide into the frame fine no bending stays out a bit or no clamping them down a bit.

Have you taken the tyre off and reverse tried it in normally then back to front.

Move you brake blocks I. With your adjusters a bit and you can get by eye how much it may or may not be off when you put it in back to front.

Have yopu checked it with the tyre and tube off the rim. Previously mentioned and it will show you better if its off

In you first picture i cant see anything

I will buy some new wheels soon (any suggestions online?)

I have taken the wheel off and tried the rim.. it's very slightly over to the left still and i dont think the wheel is bent.. It's a little untrue in one area but that's all,
I just wanna ride the bloody thing once. it's really disheartening i keep encountering problems getting it built up.
Im gonna hunt around for a washer to stick on the non drive side to move it over a tiny bit and make do for a while.

Don't bother. Just ride it.
If it was enough off to actually be a problem, you'd never get a thick enough washer in there.
Cheap wheels are quite often badly built (and also, quite often all but impossible to straighten!)

Re:

As above if you say ever so slightly and given the type of wheel. Ride it it'll not effect anything.

You do need to put it in back to front though. The reason for that is to see if it the frame or the wheel.
If it is to the left normally it'll be to the right if back to front. If it stays the same tjen it is the frame

A spacer will not help. That just pushes the frame apart. You also don't know how they'll splay
One side might go, the other might go or bothoght move. It'll just make it harder to put the wheel in

Ride and get on with it or.realign I. The drop out a bit.

Have you tried putting the wheel in back to front as I suggested? As a first step, you need to determine whether the fault is with the wheel or the frame.

Having said that, better wheels would be, well, better. Shimano hubs are generally very good and you can pick up some decent wheels on online auction sites. Anything with Deore or LX hubs would be fine, XT even better. Mavic or Sun rims, or on a budget, Alex rims.

If buying second hand, expect to repack the grease in the hubs and maybe do a quick true of the rims as well.

But do take the time to rule out whether it's the frame.

Yes i did do that. It appears to be the axle/wheel.

I rode it today without rear brakes.. feels really nice to ride despite it's many flaws. Feels nicer than my dads halfords £199 bike lol

BB deffo needs replacing it feels "crunchy",
headset feels "crunchy" need replacing
I cannot figure out how to grease my pedals lol. There's no way to put grease into them.
rear/front derailleur need fine tuning to get rid of noise

Cool, just checking it wasn't the frame.

Pull them apart, there are special tools for that. If they have been run dry chances are the bearings are stuffed anyway. Buy something new.

Start with a good clean of the chain and gears, as well as the derailleurs. Then new cables and outers. No point tuning it up if the cables are trashed and everything else is mucked up and worn out.
