If only we'd have kept our bikes we've owned. Would be worth a pretty penny between us.

Not currently got a bike but learnt in the early 90s when tzr, nsr, rg, Kmx and dt's were the learner bikes.
Then moved onto a Kr1, rgv250, kx500 then managed to find an rg500.
Then followed xt550, gsx1100, gpx750, cbr600 and last bike being zx9.

Anything from early fireblade/R1 and older are my cup of tea :)
Even managed to talk my misses into allowing me to buy something like an old italjet trials resto project for our 3yr old apprentice mechanic.

Sounds like my era ;)
Learnt on a Honda CB100N, passed first time, got a CB250RS, nice single that one. Then was told I could only have a bike up to 250 or get chucked out of the house, so I got a TZR250! Fastest nicest 250 IMO. Did 33,000 miles on that bike in two years, before needing a re-bore. Loved the reverse and V cylinder versions too, but were out of my price range. :(
Used to go to Brands Hatch a lot to see the clubmans racing. Felt like an adventure on the CB100, as I wasn't allowed on m'ways.
Paid my £3.50, had a days worth of fun. First time I went, I remember some of the bikes those riders were hustling around, Kawasaki GPZ900s, Suzuki Katanas, Honda VF/CBX750s ! Brave boys

Anyway,I digress. I hope you get your licence sorted out fella , so you can ride your dream bike ;)

Ive got a 48 Beezer and a 66 Triumph but I want what I consider even more classic and iconic-a late 80s GSXR 750 and a pre power valve early 80s 350 LC Yamaha.....

Re:

A man of taste.
I've recently seen a 250LC in these parts, looks totally stock too. The earliest GSX-Rs are still the best looking IMO too

Re:

Here are a few of mine from back in the day.
From the top;
Suzuki RGV 250M
Yamaha RZ250(Japanese import 250 version of a 350 YPVS)
Honda VFR400 NC24, wanted an NC30 but couldn't quite afford one at the time
Kawasaki ZXR 750 H2
Around this time i also has a ZXR 250, FZR 600, Suzuki street magic monkey bike, RD 400 and a Honda NC30(another cracking bike)
Swapped my RGV for the ZXR 750, what a mistake!!!! I would swap all my useable body parts for that bike now :x

Re:

Strokers are so much fun, anyone can open up on the straight, it's the bends where the fun begins! And I lived for them. Also, unlike some bigger bikes, you can pick them back up easily should you be defeated by physics!
Nice selection gg, the best looking ZXR model too
