be good to try some practice ones first
I was advised that mate but even crappy old 600 AX stems are pretty expensive
so it was an one off job for me and I've been successful in doing this job.

I have been PATIENTLY awaiting an update.^^ hint, hint, hint Richard
Its done Richard! Plase have a nob'
The adjustable reamer arrived today so I set out 'shitting myself' but did a good job and the bars
are an excellent fit as is the 26mm wedge which is inside, Having no access to a vice! The next
best thing for me is my old Raleigh so I threw off the bars/stem and attached the 600 ax stem
into the front forks and wedged the front wheel and began reaming away and doing a bit at a
time, reaming by hand seems so crude and watched the blades skim off the alloy then jam.
skim off the alloy then jam and this lasted for three hours, turning the reamer every two skims
from left to right until the hole was exactly 26mm.
Sorry I have got any further pictures but my friggin camera deleted most the pictures
Remember how 'in your face' the stem and bars are! A least I'm not hiding anything.
