That's ace thank you. I am just trying to get a jaloppy onto the road for a mate and this would be of great help.

what's a jaloppy?

based on big.eck insights I attempted to fit the front to my SID but it just seems to rub on the spoked when I popped the front wheel back in :? I am feeling quite thick today tho :lol:

A jalopy is;

Jalopy (also clunker or hooptie) is an old, decrepit, unreliable and often nonfunctional car which has limited mechanical abilities and is often in an unmaintained and usually in a rusty or dented shape. A jalopy is not a well kept antique car, but a car which is mostly rundown or beaten up. .

I am using the term for a bike I found in a skip and am trying to get working. Just need a front disc hub and some spokes and it'll be sorted I think...

Now back to the callipers;

Thanks Big.Eck for the pad info, that's great. Just one question, what era are they from?

@ Deadrats, just so long as the bolts lined up, that's fine with me, I can dish the wheels or file something.

So they seem to work fine then?

If so I'll take them, I'll be gone after 6 today and won't have internet till I get back but definitely will take them.

Everything seems to work fine, they just seem a bit (read lot) of a faff to set up... if you can't get them to work you can always get your postage money back on an eBay BIN sale?! :lol:

Seems a shame for them not be getting some use, even if it's just a hack... having said that, my hack aka 'Trolli' or 'Donki' is my most important bike in terms of actual usage!

Good luck with the build, let me know how you get on with it / them? PM me your address and I'll get em ready for the PO. Once I've posted them - which service suits... cheap as or recorded? - I'll PM you the postage cost so you can PP gift me.. they are quite heavy so they'll be at least 3 whole pounds (in £!)

:wink:
