As far as my knowledg serial numbers begining with 'w' are worksop made,It's the.old Carlton factory where all the lightweight frames where hand built.

Worksop closed very early 80s, poss 81. Production moved to Nottingham but continued with the 'W' serial numbers.

That is lovely,I think it's an 85 as the cable runs along the top of the top tube and the 83/84 ran to the side on the frames with shot in stays. Team replicas came in Weinman/Panasonic colours also used on team Raleigh burners so I think the cour schemes where the same across all the replicas. Those Suntour hubs may not be standard but they are fantastic. All in all an excellent addition to your superb stable.

Thank you, yes, the Suntour wheels are very nice. My collection is growing rapidly and is taking over the house!
