Raleigh Torus Dyna-Tech STX with UGLI forks

Retro Newbie
I've just dug out a bike I bought in Dublin in the mid-1990's. It's virtually original except for the pedals.

I'd like to start riding her again and the question is, do I clean her up, or do her up?

If it's the latter, does anybody have any suggestions such as the forks, drive chain etc.

Thanks ...

Jonathan

Re:

A good clean and re-grease of the bearings and work out if anything is worn out or perished. Replace, if possible with period items (consumables like tyres, tubes, cables, brake pads excepted) to return to a decent rideable state and enjoy it.

If you replace old parts with modern ones, you'll have a retro-mod which'll never look as good as a retro (in my opinion) and still not as good as a modern bike!

Good luck with it :)
