Raleigh Dynatech Quantum build

Had this sitting in the shed for over a year and have decided to build her up using bits I have in my various parts boxes. I’m building it as a rigid bike using some period correct Raleigh Dyna drive forks as well as a mix of DX and XT bits including thumbies.

Painted up the head tube as it was scuffed and the new forks which were off another larger sized Dynatech. I had more thread cut by AW cycles in Caversham and I cut the steerer down to suit.

Not quite period correct but I have some nice Mavic 217 ceramic rims laced to M737 and M738 XT hubs. Got a decent pair of IRC Mythos 1.95 tyres also.

As I’m not adding Mag 20/21 forks I thought I’d add a neon Flexstem as found on a few other Raleighs of the period.

Really liking this - Quantum paint scheme is really cool
Looking forward to seeing it built
Those forks are a bonus!!

Fitted a new 26.4mm seat post from chain reaction cycles and seat clamp that I salvaged from another Dyna tech. Anybody know this clamp? Not sure what it is but it is very light.
