Raleigh Dynatech Quantum build

This is coming along nicely
I’m surprised you went for the new Seatpost rather than something Retro and branded

Pleased that I have the original plug for the fork. Cleaned up and re fitted. It’s these little touches that I appreciate.

Yeah, I have the original Dyna tech seat post but it’s a bit worn. I’ve searched for period correct black 26.4mm posts but it seems like a tricky size to find. If something comes up I’d definitely swap it out. I just wanted something clean to keep the build looking fresh.

Scrubbed this 7 speed cassette up tonight using boiling water, fairly liquid and kitchen degreaser cleaner. Not sure of the model/spec but it came off a fairly decent set of early 90’s wheels from a Dyna tech Ogre so hoping it’s not too crappy quality. I’d rather a nice 8 speed XT item but I’m all out of those at the mo having built my Zaskar LE and 97 Stumpy recently. This will have to do for now.

So the build has been a bit slow over the last few weeks but is taking shape. Just the brakes to sort out.

After months and months of searching I have finally managed to source a very clean Vetta SL saddle. Came off a very low use donor bike.
