Question about my joins

I have bought a frame which does not appear to have had too much use, especially recently. I noticed a crack in the paint where the chainstay joins the BB (see pic). Should I be concerned or is this normal? The tubes don't appear loose from what I can tell but I haven't had this on any of my other bikes.

To truly find out you’ll need to strip off the paint off for a much better inspection if you not wanting to keep the original paint?

Re:

It is a Holdsworth Professional so I would not have thought it's a poor quality BB. I cannot feel any give and the tubes look fine from the inside but I am just curious as to how that paint crack might have occurred (a bit of movement at one point?). Its only because I have had several and never noticed before so I was wondering if this was common on a 45 year old bike.

Poor quality as in it has a slight fault in the surface finish allowing a small crevice to be formed, causing a pocket of air to stay under the paint when applied and as it dried out the thin skin of dried paint had no support and broke up looking like a crack. The only way you are going to find out is either X ray it or ultrasonic testing methods, or for cheapness, remove the paint.

I would have thought it rare to find a crack in a cast BB shell. The tubes adjacent possibly but a BB shell in this area is quite thick - or should be!
