:?: Question About my GT 'Psyclone' Frame...

Greetings...

OK, so I am by no means a MTB collector or fanatic, but in 1999 I ended up with complete GT Psyclone that I picked up locally from the classifieds. At the time I was more interested in the components it came with, (Marzocchi Z2 fork and XTR crank + shift!) as I was in the process of building a bike to ride from school and work. At 19 inches the bike was much too big for me anyhow, so after stripping it down, the frame was hung in my garage gathering dust for the next 8 years.

Earlier this week I was clearing some space for storage and thought maybe it was time to clear out the remnants of hobbies past, so I decided all of my old bike stuff will be the first to go. As my usual selling routine goes, I try to do a little research before pricing, but the frame is a bit of a mystery. So far the only real mention I can find on the internet seems to be in this particular forum. Are Psyclones considered desirable amongst collectors? Is there somewhere I can find more factory info and specs? How can I determine what year it was made?

I know there is something special about this frame based on what the original owner had told me at the time; He seemed sad to let it go and told me how it was given to him by a friend that owned a bike shop in Colorado. He also said it was considered a 'team bike' and was hand made in limited numbers. I would tend to believe this based on my own observations: It's made of steel but the welds are as smooth as the joins on a carbon frame and it's painted in colors that closely resemble the team jerseys in the mid '90s.

Anyone have some info or resources they could share with me? I just want to sell it, but with the supposed 'history' it comes with, I'd like to make sure it ends up in the right hands!

Cheers,
-Steve

Dude, I have a GT psyclone 16" frame that I am about to sell, it's from 1995, might you be interested in a swap? I'm selling it as it's too small for me!!!
